It’s American Pharmacists Month

American Pharmacists Month (APhM) is here! “Know Your MEDICINE, Know Your PHARMACIST”! Here at Live Oak Pharmacy we wish to extend an invitation to all in the community to come and stop by, fix yourself a cup of tea and meet with our pharmacist & co-owner, Nathan Pope, Pharm.D.

American Pharmacists Month

October is officially recognized as American Pharmacists Month. As a way to celebrate the American Pharmacy Association has put together a list of 31 ways to spread the word and some fun facts. Here are the first five and we’ll Tweet the rest. Be sure to follow us on Twitter!

1. Did you know that October is American Pharmacists Month?
2. Know your medicine. Know your pharmacist!
3. Did you know that Dr. Pepper (Charles Alderton), Pepsi-Cola (Caleb Bradham), and Coca-Cola (John Pemberton) were all invented by pharmacists?
4. Did you know that student pharmacists were on The Early Show, the Today Show, and Good Morning America, on Thursday, October 1st to kick off American Pharmacists Month?
5. Did you know that 2009 marks the 40th anniversary of the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP)?
