Our Team
Nathan Pope, Pharm.D. - Owner and Director of Pharmacy
Nathan, a graduate of the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutger’s University, brings a diversified background to the patients and customers of Live Oak Pharmacy. With over twelve years in the pharmacy industry, Nathan has worked as a pharmacy technician, resident, clinical pharmacist, pharmacy manager and most recently Clinical Assistant Professor at UT’s School of Pharmacy and co-owner of Live Oak Pharmacy. Nathan has continued his own education at both the Professional Compounding Center of America (PCCA) and Spectrum where he was trained in prescription compounding.
Scot Maitland, Owner and Director of Communications
Scot graduated from the University of North Texas in 1997 and set out on a ten year adventure in nonprofit fundraising and event management. He assisted in raising millions of dollars for people living with HIV/AIDS and breast cancer in Chicago, New York, Austin, Dallas, Houston, Colorado, Michigan and California. Scot brings his passion for helping people live their best life possible as our Director of Communications & Education as well as being one of the co-owners of Live Oak Pharmacy.
Susan Chichester, MBA – Operations Lead
Susan earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from St. Edward’s University in 2009. Through her experiences in fields such as hospitality and healthcare she has demonstrated a passion for helping others, both people and their pets. Though she grew up in New England, she loves Austin and the unique nature of the city. Susan enjoys being directly involved with the Greater Austin community through working with a variety of non-profits.

Sharon Rush, R.Ph. - Pharmacist
Sharon earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree and brings her vast experience as a staff pharmacist, pharmacy manager, Central Texas Immunization Coordinator and Clinical Assistant Pharmacist, at UT's College of Pharmacy, to Live Oak Pharmacy.
